Sun Damage + Hyperpigmentation
Cumulative UV exposure, which includes the sun and tanning beds, causes hyperpigmentation in the form of sun spots (solar lentigines), age spots (liver spots), and freckles. These become darker over time and lead to an uneven skin tone. Any area that has been exposed to UV light is susceptible to hyperpigmentation and is not limited to the face. The good news is that the appearance of the skin can be improved by way of medical grade skincare, lasers and light based devices. These treatments will restore a more uniform skin tone by fading these dark spots and the regular use of sunscreen will prevent future damage.
