What to Expect
During Treatment
The skin will be prepped in order to remove any excess oil, the peel is then applied and remains on the skin for a short time. It is normal to experience warmth, tingling and stinging while the peel is working. The peel is removed after the appropriate amount of time and neutralized. This means we ensure that the peel has stopped working completely. Extractions are performed if needed and appropriate skin care, including sunscreen, is applied.
After Treatment
In the following 2-3 days after your peel, some dryness, shedding or flaking of the skin is normal. This typically stops after 2-4 days and some won’t experience any peeling at all. SkinPen Microneedling
What It Does
Microneedling is a treatment that improves the texture of the skin by stimulating collagen production. This reduces the appearance of fine lines, crepiness, enlarged pores, acne scars and melasma.
These results are achieved by causing a controlled injury to the skin using the SkinPen Microneedling device, which triggers the skin’s healing response. The area(s) to be treated will be prepared by applying a topical numbing cream to ensure there is little to no discomfort felt during the treatment. A small amount of blood may appear on the surface of the skin but will be cleansed off before the treatment is complete.
After Treatment
